Our Work
For 20 years, the Internet Society of New York has worked for a better and more inclusive Internet. One-quarter of our members are international. Please join. It’s free and open to all.
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month @7pm. RSVP here to join the virtual meeting.
NYCHA
600,000 people live in NYCHA buildings. Our President Stu Reid and board member Doug Frazier work with the residents to bring everyone the power of the Internet. The Streaming University Project includes resident-developed applications and services designed to increase public safety and improve the quality of life in our public housing communities.
Policy Initiatives
We strongly supported the ACP funding that made Internet affordable for 12 million homes. We urged the NY City Council to reinstate the community economic model that was the linchpin of the Internet Master Plan and the legislation by Councilwoman Gutiérrez.

A passionate team dedicated to providing community-owned and operated networks, services and applications
With a collective commitment to the welfare of NYC residents, ISOC-NY brings together individuals who share a common goal: ensuring everyone has updated information and support.
